Take Your Meds and Stay In Care

Visit your doctor regularly, and take your medications on time, every time. By doing so, you'll reduce the chances of getting sick, and also the risk of passing HIV on to others.

Sometimes, life can get in the way of staying in care. Your job may require you to work more, or you might have to care for your children, or someone who is sick. Maybe you're dealing with relationship issues, or substance use challenges, or mental health issues.

If issues arise that begin to affect how you manage your health, talk to your friends or family, or even your case manager or medical provider. Be open and honest about the issues in your life. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It's your responsibility to remain in care, but you don't have to do it alone.
